Extrusion Operator Full-Time - Mantua Job Overview The position holder is primarily responsible for the efficient and SAFE production of parts that are on time, within specification, and within planned cost.
The major areas of emphasis of this position include safe operation of production equipment, process setup and adjustment, process troubleshooting, and housekeeping.
Job Responsibilities Ability to perform all duties required of a Production Operator.
Ability to set up production equipment and jobs according to specifications, work instructions, and S.
O.
P Ability to gauge material tolerances according to the S.
O.
P.
, print, and inspection report requirements.
Monitor & operate machines safely and responsibly for proper and safe operations Visually inspect rubber to ensure it meets Mantaline and Customer quality standards Gauge product using a length gauge, calipers, check plugs, comparator, densimeter, and all other measuring equipment required.
Coordinate supplies to ensure availability of packaging, prints, gauges, specifications, and tooling for swift and accurate machine setup.
Continually strive to reduce setup time within the assigned work area.
Sort discrepant product Update next shift regarding jobs being run and/or problems encountered General housekeeping The operator is responsible and accountable for a clean work area.
Advise the supervisor or lead immediately of any deviation to the production plan, this includes the job running, scrap amounts, and required production quantity.
Hours 11PM-7AM Sunday through Thursday - Occasional Friday/Saturdays Attention to detail.
Willingness to learn.
